CSPL Circulation Policy

  1. Your library card must be presented for checking out materials.

  2. Your library card is free, ID or acceptable form of identification with address is needed to issue a library card. There is no replacement charge for a lost, stolen, or damaged card.

  3. The first time a patron checks out materials the patron is limited to two (2) items. After timely return of those items a patron will have no limit on the number of items borrowed.

  4. The loan period for all items is two (2) weeks, if no one is waiting for an item, materials will automatically renew for 2 two-week loan periods. After which, patron account will lock until materials are returned or lost materials are paid for. Does not inlcude Wifi Hotspots, which have no renewals.

  5. Crawford County Libraries charge no fines on overdue materials! Patrons with overdue materials, beyond the maximum number of renewals must return items or pay for lost materials.

  6. Locked accounts will not be able to use online resources, check out any additional materials, or use library computers.

  7. Any circulating materials owned by the library may be reserved. Materials may be reserved in person, by telephone, or online. There is no cost to reserve materials. Notification by phone will be made with material is available, patron will have 5 days to pick up item before renewal is canceled.

  8. Library materials may be returned in the building at the circ desk or outside in book drop. Movies, audio books, & Hot Spots should be returned in the Video/audio return box.

  9. The library is not liable for any damages which may occur to equipment while playing library owned media.
