    Underground Railroad in Erie County

Follow the “Drinking Gourd” to Erie County, a place that served as a vital segment of the Underground Railroad from the 1830s through the 1850s. Hear tales of runaway slaves, the abolitionists who tried to help them, and those that worked to keep them in bondage. The Erie County Historical Society will bring artifacts for the group, illuminating the talk, to view and touch.
